Hello Friends! Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Hope you are doing good! Been a long time 🙂
I usually go by auto to my office after leaving my daughter in school. Nowadays, we get stuck in traffic due to road construction. Suddenly, the brother who is driving the auto said, ‘ Sister look!, my brother is there in that JCB’. I kept searching for JCB for 5 minutes as I couldn’t find anything written as ‘JCB’ in that vehicle. And there was a digger which had another name in it-he was pointing that and was saying – Look that is JCB.
I was dumb for a few minutes as he said,’ Sister, you are working in a software company and you are not aware of JCB’. LOL.
Then I started explaining to him what it is and said JCB is just a company. His answer still has an impact on me. He replied to me, that, the first company which brought the bulldozers, diggers, etc here was JCB. So for them, the vehicle is JCB as it got just pressed on their mind.
I started thinking about such things which had an impact in our life- for e.g. if I go to a shop and ask for a diaper, they just keep looking at me for 5 minutes as if I have said an alien word – then I have to say, ‘Bro, please give me pampers’, Likewise, Cab got replaced by ‘Ola’ and ‘Uber’.
One thing that God kept insisting me on this was ‘The Brand’. They have set up a brand for their companies such that people forget the regular name.
So, Next question which came to my mind was, ‘Which brand am I?’.
The Bible says we were created in the image of God(Genesis 1:26,27). So, God created us under His label. But, what happened later? The healthy competitors in the industry use professional tactics by giving their best than the other to destroy the brand of the company to make their product branded in the market. But, there is another group who wish to succeed in a short cut way – They create the fault and put the blame on the other and make it public. Our competitor did the same- Satan destroyed our brand by his tactics with Eve.
When there is a failure of a product in the market – the company will try to bring so many things – so many better things than before – try and try to bring their best. Our Brand owner tried the same – He chose Abraham – Moses – Prophets to lead people And Kings and Judges. They were better but no one can give the best!
So, God himself came in the form of man – to make us like Him – to make us His brand! Jesus – the best one replaced everything for us. Our old brand should to be replaced by the new one. He made us the brand new.
But there is one thing which we have to do – Have His mark on us! without His mark how can people identify we are His? Without the mark JCB in the vehicle, I won’t say that is a product of JCB and also, beware of duplicate brands.
There is a story which I have heard during my childhood days – A blind woman was selling apples in the railway station. When the train arrived, people ran towards the train by pushing her. Her apples fell down and no one helped. There was a person who was running towards the train, but, seeing this lady, he stopped, helped her get the apples! So, she replied to him saying, “Are you, Jesus?”.
You know, that is called ‘The Brand’ – Brand of Jesus, as the Bible says in Galatians 2:20 “It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.” We are His chosen heirs – and we need to be like just like our Father!
Now, after these brief thoughts in my mind, I was questioning myself that day – Which brand am I? Am I reflecting Christ? Do my family, relatives, friends, neighbors see Christ in me? Do I speak life like Jesus or keep cursing people for what they do? Do I help the needy? Do I show unconditional love to everyone or a partial love? Do I Obey God as Jesus did? Do I do the will of God in everything (small or big – whatever it might be)? Do I put my trust in people or God? Do I keep comparing with others – remember, comparing with others and criticizing yourself is criticizing God as you are criticizing His creation! Do I pray like Jesus? So, the list goes.
Even if we fail – He loves us the same! But again – We need to become His brand! Let us show Christ to others – let others see Christ in us!
Which brand are you?
